How we’re a different school of thought.

A Pasadena Waldorf School education enhances and enriches learning through the integration of the arts into all academic disciplines. The result is experiential, academically vigorous, and has been inspiring students to reach their full potential as life-long learners for over 100 years.

We’re coming home to Altadena!

As we look ahead to the 2026–27 school year, we’re delighted to share that the Pasadena Waldorf School community is returning to Altadena. Our Kindergarten through High School students will return to our fully remediated McComb Mendocino Campus, while our Preschool will begin a new chapter nearby at the Girl Scouts Center on Mariposa Street. This important milestone—beginning with our Summer Camp program in June 2026—is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and care of our families, faculty, and staff. We look forward to gathering once again on our home soil to continue our commitment to an extraordinary Waldorf education.

Experience PWS

The best way to understand PWS is to see it firsthand. Our tours are casual, informative, and offer the opportunity to ask questions of current parents, alumni and staff. We hope to see you soon.

We’re on a mission.

PWS is a community where students can find a passion for learning, be curious about the world around them, and discover their purpose in it. Our vigorous academic curriculum engages the whole human being, delivered in a setting that fosters self-awareness, social connection, responsibility, and action.

WHY PWS IS UNIQUE

How Pasadena Waldorf students stand out in college admissions.

In an increasingly competitive college admissions process, grades and test scores are no longer the final deciding factors for students to be accepted into the colleges of their choice.
