We are delighted you are considering Pasadena Waldorf School for your family and understand you are looking for a school where your child will not only learn, but thrive. When you see young children at play and older students engaged in their lessons with joy and enthusiasm, it is just one of the signs that this unique education reaches the whole child.
There are many outstanding features of the Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grades 1 - 12, including:
Unique Curriculum
Waldorf Education understands the developing human being, so lessons and activities help children develop strong physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual capacities.
Location
Two beautiful campuses in Altadena; nine acres all together and blooming with countless trees and plants. These campuses, half a mile apart and nestled in the lovely foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, are an ideal environment for learning and playing for children of all ages.
Waldorf Trained Teachers
Our teachers undertake a program of learning and self-development to strengthen their work with children in all grades and are life-long learners.
Parent Involvement
There are many opportunities for parents to connect and engage with each other and the class. Chaperoning hikes and camping trips, helping with the annual class play, cheering on the sport teams, and participating in class meetings give parents the chance to see how this education is unfolding as their child develops. Preparing for the school’s annual Elves’ Faire brings the parents together to collaborate with shared skills or learn new ones.
We are excited to help you learn more about the school and all that a Pasadena Waldorf School brings to students and families. Schedule a time for a phone call or a virtual tour so we can get to know each other better.

As students arrive on the cusp of adolescence, the vigorous middle school program challenges their emerging thinking, reasoning, and inquiry. Continuing work in fine, practical, and performing arts hones the powers of perception and expression.
