Giving to PWS
Join a Tradition of Giving
Pasadena Waldorf School is sustained supported and enriched through charitable gifts made by parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, friends, and foundations. This vital support ensures our school’s ability to continue to offer a rich and inspiring Waldorf education to our students.
Your support is both vital and appreciated
How your gift helps:
Closes the gap between the tuition revenue we receive and our actual annual operating expenses
Recruits and retains talented and dedicated Waldorf teachers and staff
Provides over $920,000 in Tuition Assistance and scholarships to families who would not otherwise have access to a Waldorf education
Offers a rich Waldorf curriculum from parent-child classes all the way through 12th grade.
PWS students are immersed in a vigorous academic curriculum supported by music, movement, languages, applied and performing arts. The depth and breadth of a Waldorf education is dependent upon the generous gifts of many, and we thank you for your support.
The PWS Annual Fund
Annual Fund contributions are essential to the day-to-day operations of the school, as tuition does not cover the full cost of a Waldorf education. This vibrant education depends upon your generous tax-deductible gifts to go directly to underwriting everyday expenses that make learning possible in the classroom. From the classroom itself to the teachers in the classroom, and to the students’ experiences, your tax-deductible gifts make a difference every day for every student. We ask our trustees, parents, and employees, to make the PWS Annual Fund a priority for philanthropic giving. We aim for 100% participation and encourage community members to make a meaningful gift within their financial means. Gifts range from $50 to more than $25,000. It is the act of giving rather than the amount of the gift, that truly matters. Please consider a recurring monthly gift to maximize your giving capacity.
The Scholarship for Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity
The PWS Scholarship for racial Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity was created to support the enrollment and retention of a diverse student body at the Pasadena Waldorf School. The scholarship is open to any student who would also qualify for enrollment and Tuition Assistance at PWS. The scholarship is meant to help cover costs above the qualified Tuition Assistance amount to help retain current students and welcome new students into the community. Our goal is to raise enough funds to maintain enrollment of our existing scholars, and offer scholarships to new PWS students.
There are so many ways to give.

In-kind donations are donations of goods or professional services rather than straight monetary gifts. Examples of in-kind contributions include gift certificates, experiences, travel, and unique items for our Elves’ Faire Community Marketplace, school equipment, services, vehicles, and more. At PWS, we are grateful for the incredible community partners throughout the San Gabriel Valley and beyond who support our school.
