Athletics
Movement and Athletics are a part of Pasadena Waldorf curriculum from Day 1. They are part of a child’s physical well-being and are an integral part of the PWS experience. As students age up into middle and high school, they enthusiastically don the PWS jerseys, representing their school on the fields and courts. In addition to the thrill of competing for their school, PWS student-athletes learn crucial skills in time management, team-building, prioritizing work and responsibilities, overcoming adversity, and the importance of physical and mental fitness.
Middle School Athletics
Pasadena Waldorf School competes against public, private, and independent schools throughout the region. All students have the opportunity to learn sportsmanship, develop their athleticism, and have fun.
PWS is pleased to welcome student-athletes (homeschool or other eligible school) to join our Middle School teams. Please contact the PWS Athletic Director via the button below for more information.
In addition to team sports, the Middle School PE program takes a holistic approach by offering a wide range of programs and activities to all students including an annual intra-school track meet and outdoor games against Southern California Waldorf Schools. They provide physical conditioning, healthy body awareness, social cooperation, and creative expression. PE blocks range from cooperative games, dance, bootcamp style workouts, and more.
High School Athletics
Pasadena Waldorf High School is a member of the International League of Southern Section of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section.
CIF sports programs for students include soccer, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and cross country.
