Position Title: Board of Trustees Member

OVERVIEW

Pasadena Waldorf School (PWS) is an independent, not-for-profit school serving students from early childhood through high school.  PWS is fully accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and is nestled in the Altadena foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains

Founded in 1979, PWS is a well-established school with curricula and programs based on Rudolf Steiner’s picture of child development and the AWSNA shared principles. Working out of the understanding that human beings are spiritual beings, the mission of PWS is to develop in each student integrity, intelligence and the impulse toward compassionate action in the world.  Waldorf education fosters connections between students, teachers, classmates and the world around us. Discovering how we are connected cultivates a deep sense of respect, social responsibility and a strong moral compass.  Our graduates emerge from school ready to engage in the global community through meaningful relationship and purposeful work.  To learn more about Waldorf Education and Anthroposophy, please visit the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) website.

PWS is actively working to foster an inclusive, welcoming and diverse community of students, families, employees and school leadership.  We encourage and welcome interest in participation at the Board level from all segments of the local community, especially from those who are not typically represented in traditional private school leadership.
