Position Title: Eurythmy Teacher
Pasadena Waldorf School is seeking dynamic and engaging teachers who have a history of work in multiple class settings. Prior experience with Waldorf Education is a plus. We actively encourage teachers from racial and cultural backgrounds not currently represented in private secondary education to consider this position.
Qualifications
Demonstrated excellence in eurythmy teaching (professional experience or exemplary practicum recommendations) This includes eurythmy training or the willingness to engage in this training after hire at one's own expense.
A desire to work with students beyond academics to help them develop the capacities to know themselves and their place in the world.
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited four-year college of university.
Responsibilities:
Teaching assigned classes and supporting other teachers to facilitate the whole school schedule. If qualified, may also teach other subjects.
Supporting extracurricular activities: Examples include: advising students, playground and meal supervision, chaperoning field trips, or mentoring various clubs.
Administrative responsibilities include school committee work, all school workshops, student reports, parent work, and duties like lunch coverage, opening/closing the school for the day, or subbing for an absent peer.
Meeting attendance to include weekly meeting of the full Faculty/Staff and Grade School faculty/staff meetings.
