Affording PWS
To make Waldorf Education more affordable and widely accessible, PWS provides Tuition Assistance (TA) to families of accepted students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. Tuition requires a significant commitment from all parents and sustains PWS curriculum and programs. All families are respected and appreciated for their contributions to PWS.
TA is needs-based, and PWS uses School and Student Services (SSS) to fairly and equitably determine how much a family can afford toward tuition. TA applies to tuition only and does not apply to the application fee ($100), the enrollment fee, musical instrument rental (grades 3 and above), after-school sports fee (grades 6-12), field trips not covered by class budget, After School Care, After School Programs, and PWS Camps. To provide TA to as many returning and new families as possible, PWS limits TA amounts to 50% of the student’s tuition for those who qualify.
WHEN TO APPLY
Apply early! PWS recommends applying for TA when families begin the Admissions process. TA applications are required annually. PWS strives to keep TA amounts consistent for families from year to year, based on their SSS application and the school budget. When tuition increases, families receiving TA should increase their tuition contributions accordingly.
